Question 1

What manual work can be automated when using Wideo?

Accepted Answer

Wideo automation handles the repetitive work of video creation and distribution at scale. Instead of manually building individual videos, you can trigger personalized video generation based on incoming data (such as contact records or form submissions), then automatically send those videos to recipients via email or other channels. This eliminates manual video creation, file naming, and delivery steps that would otherwise require human intervention for each video.

Question 2

How does data flow into and out of Wideo when connected to other tools?

Accepted Answer

Data enters Wideo through API connections or direct integrations that pass variables like names, dates, or custom text into video templates. After Wideo generates the video file, the system outputs the video URL or file, which can then be captured and sent downstream to contact management systems, email platforms, or storage tools via automation workflows. The flow is: incoming data (trigger) > Wideo processes and creates video > output video asset (sent to next tool).

Question 3

What are common issues when automating Wideo video generation?

Accepted Answer

Variables passed into Wideo templates must match the expected data types and formatting or videos may render incorrectly or fail to generate. Large-scale automated video creation can take longer than expected, which may cause timing issues if downstream steps expect immediate delivery. Template changes in Wideo are not always reflected automatically in active workflows, so updates may require manual redeployment. Ensure your automation includes error handling and checks for failed video generations before sending incomplete videos to recipients.

Question 4

How should Wideo be structured to support reliable automations?

Accepted Answer

Build reusable Wideo templates with clearly labeled variable placeholders so data mapping from upstream systems is straightforward and less prone to error. Store template IDs and API credentials securely in your automation platform rather than hardcoding them. Test end-to-end with sample data before running at scale, and monitor video generation logs to catch failures early. Separate templates by type or purpose so different workflows can target the correct template without conflicts.
