Question 1

What manual work can I automate by connecting Thankster to my CRM or database?

Accepted Answer

You can automate the entire process of identifying contacts who meet certain criteria, composing personalized messages, and sending handwritten cards to them without manual intervention. For example, when a new record enters your system or a contact reaches a milestone, an automation can trigger Thankster to create and mail a card with your custom message using authentic handwriting. This eliminates the manual steps of selecting contacts, writing messages, and placing orders with Thankster each time.

Question 2

How does data flow between my automation platform and Thankster?

Accepted Answer

Data flows into Thankster as input: your automation sends the recipient's address and the message text you want handwritten on the card. Thankster then creates and mails the physical card, but does not send data back into your other tools. This is a one-way workflow, so you should plan to track the fact that a card was sent within your automation platform or CRM using action logs or status fields rather than relying on return data from Thankster.

Question 3

What happens if address data is incomplete or incorrectly formatted when I send it to Thankster?

Accepted Answer

Thankster requires valid address information to mail a card, so incomplete or improperly formatted addresses may cause the order to fail or result in undeliverable mail. Before automating, validate and standardize your address data in your source system to ensure all required fields are populated and correctly formatted. Testing your automation with sample records and monitoring for delivery issues is important to catch address problems early.

Question 4

How should I organize my contact data and automation triggers to keep Thankster workflows reliable?

Accepted Answer

Ensure your source system (CRM, database, or form tool) has clean, standardized address fields and clear criteria for when cards should be sent. Set up your automation to check for required fields like street address, city, state, and ZIP before passing data to Thankster, and use descriptive message templates that your automation can populate with contact-specific information. Regularly audit completed orders and failed sends to catch data quality issues and refine your trigger logic.
