Question 1

What manual work can I automate by connecting Swordfish.ai to other tools?

Accepted Answer

You can automate the process of looking up phone numbers and email addresses for contacts in your database. Instead of manually searching Swordfish.ai for each person, you can feed a list of names, company information, or other identifiers into an automation workflow that queries Swordfish.ai and returns contact details directly to your CRM, spreadsheet, or other business tool. This removes the repetitive step of copying and pasting results back into your system.

Question 2

How does data flow when I use Swordfish.ai in an automation?

Accepted Answer

Your automation tool sends contact information (typically names, company names, or job titles) to Swordfish.ai via its API. Swordfish.ai returns matching phone numbers and email addresses, which your automation then routes to your destination system, such as a database, CRM, or email platform. The connection is typically one-way: you send data to Swordfish.ai and receive results back to populate or enrich your records.

Question 3

What should I watch out for when automating with Swordfish.ai?

Accepted Answer

Swordfish.ai may not find matches for all contacts, especially if the information you provide is incomplete, outdated, or ambiguous. Names that are common or company information that is vague can lead to missed or incorrect results. Rate limits or API throttling may affect how quickly your automation processes large batches of contacts. Test your workflow with a smaller sample first to verify match quality before running it against your full contact list.

Question 4

How should I structure my data before feeding it into Swordfish.ai through an automation?

Accepted Answer

Provide the most complete and accurate information possible: full names, company names, job titles, and locations will improve match rates. Standardize your data format before sending it to Swordfish.ai, as inconsistent spelling, formatting, or incomplete records reduce the likelihood of finding matches. Map your source fields clearly to Swordfish.ai's required inputs in your automation so that the correct data is sent to the correct lookup field.
