Question 1

What email workflows can I automate with OHWO?

Accepted Answer

OHWO is designed for ecommerce businesses to automate email campaigns triggered by customer behavior and transactions. You can automate welcome series, cart abandonment emails, post-purchase follow-ups, and re-engagement campaigns by connecting OHWO to your ecommerce platform or workflow automation tool. Automation removes the manual work of sending individual emails or managing campaign scheduling, letting your business send the right message at the right time without operator involvement.

Question 2

How does customer data flow between my ecommerce platform and OHWO?

Accepted Answer

When you connect OHWO to your ecommerce platform via an automation tool, customer information like email address, purchase history, and behavioral signals are passed into OHWO to create or update contacts. OHWO uses this incoming data to segment audiences and trigger the correct email sequences automatically. Data typically flows one direction (into OHWO), though some platforms allow feedback like bounces or unsubscribes to flow back to your primary system for list hygiene.

Question 3

What causes email automations with OHWO to fail or miss contacts?

Accepted Answer

Common issues include incorrectly mapped email fields during setup (OHWO may not recognize contact data if field names don't match expectations), contacts already present in OHWO lists that automation tries to re-add, and unsubscribe or bounce data not syncing back to your ecommerce platform, leading to repeated send attempts. Additionally, rate limits or incomplete contact records in your source system can prevent OHWO from receiving the data needed to trigger sends correctly.

Question 4

How should I organize my OHWO lists and segments for reliable automation?

Accepted Answer

Structure OHWO lists by customer lifecycle stage or campaign type (e.g., new customers, repeat buyers, inactive contacts) so automations can target the right segment consistently. Maintain clean data standards before importing into OHWO - remove duplicates, validate email addresses, and keep contact properties updated in your ecommerce platform. This organization prevents automations from sending duplicate messages and ensures your platform can reliably match and route incoming customer records to the correct lists.
