1. Batch Routed to QC Stationtrigger

Production system or manual notification signals that a batch is ready for inspection. The automation is triggered with the batch ID and product code.

2. Create Digital Inspection Form

A Google Form is automatically generated and pre-populated with the batch ID, product code, and inspection date. A link is sent to the inspector's phone or tablet.

3. Inspector Completes Inspection via Form

Inspector uses the form to record measurements, defects, and pass/fail decision. The form is filled out at the inspection station in real time, eliminating paper and re-entry.

4. Log Inspection Data

Form responses are automatically appended to a master inspection log. All historical data is centralized and searchable.

5. Defects Exceed Threshold?

The automation checks if the number or severity of defects exceeds a pre-set threshold. If yes, an alert is triggered. If no, the batch is marked pass.

6. Send Real-Time Alert to Supervisor

If defects are flagged, a message is sent immediately to the QC supervisor with the batch ID, defect summary, and recommended action. The supervisor can review the full form data in seconds.

7. Notify Production and Shipping

Once the supervisor approves the batch status (pass, hold, rework, or scrap), a notification is sent to production and shipping teams with the final decision and any special instructions.

8. Update QC Dashboard and Archive Record

The inspection record is logged to a live QC dashboard showing pass rate, defect trends, and batch status. The record is archived for traceability and audit.
