1. New Order Receivedtrigger

An order arrives via email, order management system, or API and triggers the scheduling workflow. The order data includes customer, part number, quantity, and requested delivery date.

2. Extract Order Data

The automation platform extracts order details from the email or system and parses them into structured fields. Duplicate orders are flagged for manual review.

3. Check Machine Capacity

The scheduling queries the machine availability database and lead time rules to determine feasible start and end dates for the job. It identifies the best-fit machine based on part type and current load.

4. Can Schedule Within Deadline?

The automation evaluates whether the job can be scheduled to meet the customer's requested delivery date. If yes, the schedule is confirmed. If no, the job is flagged for manual negotiation.

5. Update Master Schedule

For jobs that fit, the automation updates the master scheduling spreadsheet and production database with the confirmed start date, machine assignment, and estimated completion date.

6. Push Schedule to Shop Floor

The confirmed schedule is sent to the shop floor notification and a real-time dashboard update. The supervisor receives a summary of new jobs and any changes to existing schedules.

7. Send Customer Confirmation

An automated email is sent to the customer confirming the delivery date and providing a job reference number. If the date differs from the request, the email explains the reason.

8. Review Flagged Conflicts
