Question 1

What manual work can I automate when using Wisernotify?

Accepted Answer

You can automate the process of converting visitor actions, like purchases or sign-ups, into social proof notifications that display on your website. Instead of manually creating and managing individual notifications for each transaction or event, you can connect Wisernotify to your business systems so notifications trigger automatically when specific actions occur. This eliminates manual notification creation and keeps your social proof displays current without ongoing administrative effort.

Question 2

How does data flow between Wisernotify and other tools in an automation?

Accepted Answer

Wisernotify receives event data from your business systems, such as customer transactions, sign-ups, or account activities, and uses that data to generate and display social proof notifications on your website. When you connect Wisernotify through an automation platform, incoming events trigger notification creation based on rules you define. Data flows in one direction, from your source system into Wisernotify, rather than Wisernotify sending data back to other tools.

Question 3

What common problems occur when automating Wisernotify notifications?

Accepted Answer

Notifications may fail to trigger if the event data mapping is incorrect, meaning the automation sends data in a format Wisernotify does not recognize. Duplicate notifications can occur if your automation platform sends the same event multiple times or if events are not properly deduplicated before reaching Wisernotify. Additionally, if your event filtering rules are too broad or too narrow, you may see notifications for unwanted actions or miss notifications you intended to display.

Question 4

How should I organize Wisernotify to support reliable automations?

Accepted Answer

Define clear rules upfront for which visitor actions should trigger notifications, such as purchase thresholds, geographic locations, or account types, so your automation only sends relevant events to Wisernotify. Map data fields consistently between your source system and Wisernotify, ensuring customer information and action details match expected formats. Test your automation flow with sample events before going live to verify that notifications display correctly and that your filtering logic works as intended.
