Question 1

What manual work around Veriff can I automate?

Accepted Answer

You can automate the process of triggering identity verification workflows for new contacts, passing verification results to downstream systems, and routing verified or flagged records into different workflows based on outcome. For example, when a contact enters your system, you can automatically submit them to Veriff, then route approved contacts to one workflow and rejected or review-flagged contacts to another. This removes the need for manual status checks and record shuffling.

Question 2

How does data move between Veriff and other business tools?

Accepted Answer

When you connect Veriff to your automation platform, contact data flows out to Veriff for verification, and verification results flow back as structured data that can trigger downstream actions. You can map Veriff outputs like verification status, confidence scores, and decision reasons into your CRM, database, or other connected tools. Verify that your integration handles both the initial verification request and the webhook or polling mechanism that retrieves completed results.

Question 3

What common problems occur when automating Veriff workflows?

Accepted Answer

Verification results may not return instantly, so automations expecting synchronous responses can fail if not configured to wait or check status asynchronously. Incomplete or misformatted contact data submitted to Veriff can cause verification to fail or return inconclusive results, so validate input data before sending it. Additionally, some verification attempts may require manual review or additional identity checks, meaning not all contacts will receive an immediate pass/fail decision that your automation can act on.

Question 4

How should I organize Veriff to support reliable automations?

Accepted Answer

Ensure your contact records contain complete and accurate data fields that Veriff requires before automations attempt verification. Define clear verification workflow stages in your system so automations can respond appropriately to different outcomes (approved, rejected, pending review). Test your automation logic with sample contacts first, especially the error handling paths for incomplete submissions or inconclusive results, so your system handles edge cases without breaking downstream processes.
