Question 1

What manual tasks around Novocall can be automated?

Accepted Answer

You can automate the flow of contact information into Novocall, trigger callback scheduling based on events in other systems, and push call outcomes or scheduling data back to your CRM or database. For example, when a new contact arrives in your system, an automation can create a callback request in Novocall without manual entry. Call confirmations, rescheduled appointments, or contact records updated during calls can be automatically synced back to your primary tools.

Question 2

How does data move between Novocall and other business tools?

Accepted Answer

Novocall connects to other platforms through APIs and automation workflows that read contact details, callback requests, and call results. Contact data flows in to Novocall to populate callback forms or caller information, and call outcomes (completion status, notes, rescheduled times) flow out to your CRM, database, or communication platform. The connection is typically bidirectional, so changes in one system can trigger updates in the other.

Question 3

What problems commonly occur when automating Novocall workflows?

Accepted Answer

Timing issues can cause callbacks to be scheduled before contact details fully sync into Novocall, resulting in incomplete caller information. Duplicate contact records may be created if the same contact enters your system multiple times without deduplication before the automation reaches Novocall. Additionally, if callback scheduling happens during high-volume periods, rate limits or connection delays may cause some requests to queue or fail silently, requiring monitoring and retry logic.

Question 4

How should I organize Novocall to support reliable automations?

Accepted Answer

Ensure contact records in your source system contain complete and consistently formatted information (phone number, name, best contact time) before they reach Novocall, as automation errors often stem from incomplete data. Set up distinct callback request types or tags in Novocall if you have multiple workflows, so automations can route requests correctly. Define clear rules for what triggers a callback request and when callbacks should be scheduled, and test the full automation flow with sample data before activating it on live contacts.
