Question 1

What manual work can we automate by connecting MadKudu to our other tools?

Accepted Answer

You can automate the process of scoring incoming contacts and then routing those scores to your CRM, email platform, or workflow system without manual review. Instead of exporting lead lists, running them through MadKudu, and manually copying scores back into your records, you can set up a connection that pulls contacts from your source system, sends them to MadKudu for scoring, and pushes the results back automatically. This eliminates re-entry work and ensures scores are always current across your tools.

Question 2

How does data flow between MadKudu and other platforms when automated?

Accepted Answer

When you connect MadKudu to other tools, contact data (name, email, company details, and other attributes) flows out from your source system to MadKudu for scoring. MadKudu then returns score values and grade assignments back to your connected platform, where they populate custom fields or append to your existing records. The direction and frequency of this flow depends on your automation configuration, but typically new or updated contacts trigger a scoring request automatically.

Question 3

What are common problems when automating lead scoring with MadKudu?

Accepted Answer

Mismatched contact data can prevent accurate scoring if required fields (like company name or email domain) are missing or formatted inconsistently before reaching MadKudu. Duplicate contacts may get scored multiple times, inflating your data volume and creating conflicting scores in your system. Additionally, if MadKudu cannot match a contact's company information to its database, scores may be incomplete or less accurate, so you should validate data quality upstream of the automation.

Question 4

How should we organize MadKudu to make automations work reliably?

Accepted Answer

Map out which fields from your source system MadKudu needs to score accurately (company, job title, email domain, and any other attributes it uses), and ensure those fields are consistently populated before data reaches MadKudu. Establish a single source of truth for contacts rather than scoring the same person across multiple systems, which avoids duplicate processing. Document your scoring model and thresholds in MadKudu so your team understands why scores appear the way they do in your connected systems, which helps with troubleshooting and optimization.
