Question 1

What manual tasks around Jibble can be automated?

Accepted Answer

Common manual work that can be automated includes exporting time and attendance data to payroll systems, sending time-off approvals to managers, syncing project hours to billing platforms, and generating recurring attendance reports. Automation can pull clock-in and clock-out records from Jibble and route them to downstream systems without manual export or re-entry, reducing data entry errors and freeing staff to focus on analysis rather than data movement.

Question 2

How does data move between Jibble and other business tools?

Accepted Answer

Jibble connects to other platforms through APIs and integrations that read time records, project data, and attendance logs and push them to payroll software, accounting systems, or project management tools. Data flows out of Jibble as structured records (clock times, user IDs, project codes, hours worked) and can be transformed or filtered before landing in a receiving system, allowing a single source of truth for time data across your tech stack.

Question 3

What common issues occur when automating around Jibble?

Accepted Answer

Common gotchas include timezone mismatches when syncing time records across systems, incomplete or missing project codes that break downstream categorization, user ID mismatches between Jibble and connected tools, and delays in Jibble data becoming available for export after clock-out. Testing automation with real time records during a pilot period helps catch these issues before full rollout.

Question 4

How should I set up Jibble to make automations work reliably?

Accepted Answer

Establish consistent naming conventions for projects, teams, and user fields in Jibble before building automations, ensure all team members use the same project codes and time categories, and verify that required data fields are always populated at clock-in or clock-out. Mapping Jibble field names to receiving system field names upfront prevents misalignment and reduces manual fixes downstream.
