Question 1

What manual work can I automate by connecting IsOn24 AI Voice Assistant to other apps?

Accepted Answer

IsOn24 can be automated to handle inbound calls without manual pickup, extract caller information, and pass that data to connected apps like CRM systems or scheduling tools. You can automate appointment booking so callers complete reservations through the voice assistant, which then syncs directly to your calendar or booking system. Text message follow-ups triggered by call outcomes, and data logging to your business tools, eliminate manual note-taking and data entry after calls end.

Question 2

How does information flow between IsOn24 and other business tools when connected?

Accepted Answer

When IsOn24 receives a call, it can extract details like caller identity, reason for contact, and appointment preferences, then send that structured data to connected apps via API. Your other tools can also send information back to IsOn24, such as contact records or appointment slots that the voice assistant references during conversations. The direction and format of data flow depends on how you configure the connection between IsOn24 and each app.

Question 3

What problems occur when automating with IsOn24 AI Voice Assistant?

Accepted Answer

Common issues include the voice assistant misinterpreting accents, background noise, or unclear caller speech, leading to incorrect data capture or wrong appointment bookings. If your connected apps have inconsistent data formats or missing required fields, IsOn24 may fail to sync information properly. Phone disconnections, timeouts, or callers hanging up during the conversation can result in incomplete records in your downstream systems.

Question 4

How should I structure IsOn24 in my workflow so automations work reliably?

Accepted Answer

Define clear call flows and decision trees in IsOn24 before connecting it to other tools, so the voice assistant knows when to collect data, when to transfer calls, and what information to pass downstream. Map your contact data structure in IsOn24 to match the fields in your connected apps to prevent sync failures. Set up confirmation steps where the voice assistant repeats back captured details before submitting them to other systems, reducing errors from misheard information.
