Question 1

What manual work can I automate by connecting Instant Roofer to my CRM?

Accepted Answer

When you connect Instant Roofer to your CRM, new leads captured through Instant Roofer can be automatically sent to your CRM without manual data entry. This eliminates the need to copy contact information, job details, and lead status between systems. You can also trigger automatic follow-up workflows, assign leads to team members, or update contact records based on lead attributes, saving time on repetitive setup tasks.

Question 2

How does data flow from Instant Roofer into Google Sheets or email when I set up an automation?

Accepted Answer

When you automate Instant Roofer to Google Sheets, new leads are added as rows with their details automatically populated into columns you specify. If you connect to email, lead data is extracted and included in email notifications sent to designated recipients. Data flows one direction from Instant Roofer outward to these tools in real-time or on a schedule, so your team gets lead information where they already work.

Question 3

What issues should I watch out for when automating Instant Roofer to multiple tools?

Accepted Answer

Be careful about duplicate leads if Instant Roofer sends the same lead to multiple tools without deduplication logic. If your CRM or spreadsheet has strict formatting requirements (like phone number or address fields), mismatched data formats from Instant Roofer may cause import errors or incomplete records. Test your automation with sample leads first to verify all required fields map correctly and that your downstream tools receive data in the expected format.

Question 4

How should I organize my Instant Roofer lead data so automations work reliably?

Accepted Answer

Ensure your Instant Roofer account is set up to capture consistent, required fields from leads (like name, contact information, and job details) so automations have complete data to send downstream. If you're using multiple destinations, map Instant Roofer fields to your CRM or spreadsheet field names before activating the automation. Periodically review your automation settings if Instant Roofer updates its available fields, as new lead attributes may become available that your workflow should capture.
