Question 1

What manual work can I automate when using HomeKeepr?

Accepted Answer

HomeKeepr automations typically handle repetitive tasks around lead identification and contact management, such as adding contacts to HomeKeepr when they meet certain criteria, tagging contacts based on their buying or selling intent, and triggering notifications or downstream actions when a contact signals intent to transact. You can also automate the routing of newly identified leads to team members or systems that need to follow up. This removes the need to manually check HomeKeepr, qualify contacts, and notify relevant parties.

Question 2

How does data flow between HomeKeepr and other business tools?

Accepted Answer

HomeKeepr connects to external platforms through APIs and integration tools, allowing contact data to move bidirectionally. Data can flow into HomeKeepr from lead-generation or CRM systems to create or update contact records, and HomeKeepr can send contact signals (such as intent to buy or sell) back to your CRM, email platform, or task management system. This ensures your downstream tools stay synchronized with the most current contact status from HomeKeepr without manual data entry.

Question 3

What common problems occur when automating around HomeKeepr?

Accepted Answer

Common issues include duplicate contacts being created if the same contact exists in multiple source systems, misaligned contact status if HomeKeepr updates occur after automation workflows have already fired, and missing or incomplete contact data if required fields are not mapped correctly during setup. Additionally, automation may fail if HomeKeepr's API rate limits are exceeded during bulk operations, or if integration credentials become invalid without warning.

Question 4

How should I organize my HomeKeepr data so automations work reliably?

Accepted Answer

Establish a clear data structure in HomeKeepr with consistent naming conventions for contact fields, defined tags that indicate intent status, and a deduplication process to prevent multiple records for the same contact. Map every field your automations depend on (such as phone, email, and transaction intent) to match the exact field names and formats used in HomeKeepr's API. Regularly audit your HomeKeepr records to ensure automation rules have correct criteria and that outdated tags or statuses are cleaned up.
