Question 1

What kind of manual push notification work can we automate with Gravitec.net?

Accepted Answer

You can automate sending push notifications triggered by events in other business tools, like when a record is created, updated, or reaches a certain condition. Instead of manually composing and sending notifications through Gravitec.net, automations can pull data from your CRM, database, or workflow platform and deliver notifications across Gravitec.net's global push notification services without human intervention. This is useful for time-sensitive alerts, status updates, or notifications that need to reach users at scale.

Question 2

How does data flow between Gravitec.net and other tools in an automation?

Accepted Answer

When Gravitec.net is connected to an automation platform, data typically flows in one direction: your business tool sends contact information, message content, and delivery instructions to Gravitec.net, which then dispatches the push notification. Gravitec.net receives the payload (recipient identifiers, message text, and any metadata) and routes it through its global network. Some automations may also pull delivery status or response data back from Gravitec.net for logging or trigger next steps in your workflow.

Question 3

What problems should we watch for when automating push notifications through Gravitec.net?

Accepted Answer

Common issues include sending notifications to invalid or expired device identifiers, which will fail silently or bounce; ensure your contact records contain valid push tokens before automation runs. Message formatting and character limits vary across Gravitec.net's supported regions and platforms, so test notification content in advance. If your automation sends duplicate or rapid-fire notifications to the same contact, Gravitec.net may rate-limit or queue them, causing delays. Always verify recipient lists and test with a small batch before scaling to full contact lists.

Question 4

How should we organize our contact data in Gravitec.net for reliable automations?

Accepted Answer

Store push notification tokens or device identifiers in a dedicated field separate from email or phone contact data, and keep this field current by removing or flagging expired tokens. Segment your contacts by region or notification type if Gravitec.net's services differ by geography, so automations route to the correct endpoint. Maintain clean, deduplicated contact records to avoid sending duplicate notifications, and document which contacts have opted in to push notifications to stay compliant with regulations and prevent failures from blocked or inactive devices.
