Question 1

What manual tasks around Eventzilla can be automated?

Accepted Answer

You can automate repetitive work after ticket sales occur, such as sending confirmation emails to buyers, adding attendee records to a database or CRM, generating reports on ticket sales, and syncing attendee data to other business tools. You can also automate marketing follow-ups by triggering messages when someone registers or purchases a ticket. The core ticketing and payment processing in Eventzilla itself cannot be automated, but the downstream actions triggered by sales can be.

Question 2

How does attendee data flow from Eventzilla to other tools?

Accepted Answer

When someone purchases a ticket through Eventzilla, that transaction and attendee information can be extracted and sent to connected platforms like email services, spreadsheet applications, or CRM systems. Most integrations pull data after a purchase is completed, so buyer name, email, ticket type, and purchase details become available for immediate use in other workflows. The timing and structure of this data depends on how your automation tool connects to Eventzilla's API or available integration points.

Question 3

What breaks when automating around Eventzilla?

Accepted Answer

A common issue is automations failing to trigger if ticket purchase data is delayed or formatted differently than expected. Custom ticket fields or non-standard event structures in Eventzilla may not map cleanly into receiving systems, causing data to drop or appear incomplete. If Eventzilla's connection to your automation platform is interrupted, pending buyer records may not sync, requiring manual re-entry. Testing your full workflow before going live helps catch these gaps.

Question 4

How should I structure my Eventzilla events so automations work reliably?

Accepted Answer

Keep your ticket types and event fields consistent and clearly named, so automated systems can reliably identify and route attendee data. Avoid excessive custom fields that may not export cleanly to other tools. Test a full purchase flow end-to-end before promoting the event, and confirm that buyer records actually appear in your connected systems. Document which events are automated versus manual so your team knows what to expect.
