Question 1

What work can I automate with More Trees?

Accepted Answer

You can automate the process of triggering tree planting based on events in other systems, such as when a new record is created, a purchase is completed, or a form is submitted. Rather than manually logging into More Trees and initiating plants each time, you can configure a workflow that sends data to More Trees automatically, reducing manual data entry and ensuring consistent carbon offset actions tied to your business events.

Question 2

How does data move between More Trees and other tools?

Accepted Answer

More Trees accepts incoming data through API connections that allow other platforms to send information like the number of trees to plant or metadata about the planting request. Data flows into More Trees from your other business systems, but More Trees primarily functions as a destination tool rather than a source of data for other applications, so outbound data sync is limited.

Question 3

What breaks when automating tree planting workflows?

Accepted Answer

Common issues include sending incomplete or improperly formatted requests to More Trees, which may fail silently or require manual retry. If your automation does not include proper error handling, failed planting requests may go unnoticed. Additionally, rate limits or account-level restrictions on More Trees may pause automations if too many requests arrive at once, so you should monitor logs and set reasonable request intervals.

Question 4

How should I structure my More Trees account for reliable automation?

Accepted Answer

Ensure your More Trees account has the required API credentials and permissions enabled before building automations. Clearly define which business events should trigger tree planting, test the integration with small batches before full rollout, and maintain a record of automation configurations so you know which workflows are active and what volumes they generate on your account.
